Allophycocyanin (APC)~caproyl~Biotin (APC~Biotin)

Description:
Phycoprobe Allophycocyanin(APC)-Capryol-Biotin

Application:
IF---10-20 micrograms/ml
Flow---0.5-2 micrograms/0.1 ml (not quality controlled in our lab).
The optimum dilution should be determined by the individual lab.

Presentation:
3.0 M Ammonium Sulfate, 50 mM Sodium Phosphate, 0.05% Sodium Azide, pH 7.0.

Aliquoting Instructions:
Before withdrawing aliquots from this suspension be sure to mix vial contents well. To remove ammonium sulfate transfer aliquot needed into a small conical centrifuge tube. Centrifuge for 4 minutes at maximum speed. Remove clear supernatant by aspiration with a Pasteur’s pipet or by blotting with the tip of a tissue paper. Resuspend colored precipitate in 100 mM sodium phosphate pH 7.0 containing 2-5 mg/mL of bovine serum albumin.

Storage:
Refrigerate in dark at 4°C. Do not freeze.

Notes:
PROTEIN CARRIER: bovine serum albumin.
This phycobiliprotein conjugate is supplied as a suspension in 3.0 M ammonium sulfate. This environment appears to be best both for the preservation of the biliprotein as well as the stability of the conjugate. The precipitation was carried out in the presence of bovine serum albumin.
LICENSED FOR USE IN FLOW CYTOMETRY.
